What Can One Person Do?
30 Days of Climate Action and Inspiration
Beyond time and space... the Stretch Zone! Up until now, I've been asking you to stretch a little bit each day. You might have chosen to do this, or maybe not. After all, it is so easy and so tempting to stay in our comfort zones. Why leave our comfort zone and enter the stretch zone? Because this is where the learning happens. This is also where the fun happens. And it is where we will make the biggest difference in the world. Beyond the stretch zone is the panic zone. This is a place where it is so scary that you shut down emotionally. I'm NOT asking you to go there. Today, I am asking you to commit to live in the stretch zone... taking action that might be a tiny bit scary, and a bit uncomfortable, but not debilitating. If you commit to this in the coming days, look for an opportunity to act on that commitment. As Charles Eisenstein said, you may find it "just on the edge of your courage... but not past it." TODAY'S ACTION: Look back on your actions over the past two weeks --were there any that you took that were in the stretch zone? How did it feel? Are there any that you avoided or postponed? Considering taking one of those actions today. To living in the Stretch Zone, Denise
