Day 12 - Surprises

What are the most impactful ways to reverse global warming? There are plenty of surprises.

Surprises
Researchers were surprised when the data showed that educating girls and family planning, when put together, were the most impactful solution to reverse global warming.

When refrigerant management turned out to be the number one technical solution, they said "Really?"

That nuclear power made the list at all demonstrates the researchers let the data speak for itself without political filtering. It is hardly a draw for the grassroots.

We don't have to personally embrace all of the Drawdown solutions. We do have to trust that the best solutions will draw many good people to work on them.

The good news: most of the solutions have multiple benefits beyond reversing global warming, and there are hundreds of solutions waiting in the wings--ones that will make the list soon. There is truly something empowering for everyone.
